DOT Drug Testing

DOT drug and alcohol testing is closely monitored and must follow strict rules and regulations. All drug testing that occurs within a DOT organization must be conducted at laboratories that are certified by the Department of Health and Human Services. Additionally, urine is currently the only approved specimen for drug testing.

Breath Alcohol Testing DOT and Non-DOT

Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT)

Equipment is onsite

DOT testing and Non-DOT testing

Negative results delivered in 30 minutes (positive result requires a 2nd test)

Urine Drug Testing

      Non-DOT

NON-DOT is every company that is not labeled as DOT. NON-DOT companies have more liberty when it comes to designing and implementing drug and alcohol polices and processes. NON-DOT companies should consider the benefits that these policies and programs give to an organization by promoting safety through banning substance abuse.

Hair Follicle Drug Testing

A hair follicle drug test, also known as a hair drug test, screens for illicit drug use and the misuse of prescription medication. During this test, a small amount of hair is removed from your head using scissors. The sample is then analyzed for signs of drug use during the 90 days preceding the test.

Oral Fluids Drug Testing

Oral fluid testing analyzes a saliva sample for parent drugs and their metabolites. An absorbent collection device is placed in the mouth and the saliva collected is screened for drugs of abuse. Samples are checked to verify the saliva is human and undiluted.

DNA Testing

Paternity testing provides scientific evidence of whether a man can be a child's biological father. Paternity is determined by comparing the child's DNA with the DNA profile of the alleged father.
